JOHN McAnaw, Kathleen Cowle and Johnathan Laird have been elected to the Scottish Pharmacy Board. A total of 489 members cast 1,168 votes, from a possible 2,275 eligible voters – a turnout of 21.49 percent. The results for the five candidates were as follows:
- Kathleen Cowle – 237
- Johnathan Laird – 232
- John McAnaw – 289
- Kim Munro – 196
- Deborah Stafford – 214
Johnathan Laird commented: “I’m really honoured and delighted that my fellow professionals have entrusted me with this role, thank you very much for your support.
“I plan to deliver on my election promises and work hard for community pharmacy and the profession as a whole. I can’t wait to get started and work with my other colleagues on the RPS Scottish Pharmacy Board as well as other pharmacy and healthcare organisations.”
