Pharmacy2U has teamed up with the British Lung Foundation (BLF). The aim of the partnership is to allow Pharmacy2U to assist patients to manage their lung conditions.
On the partnership the BLF said the following;
“We’re bringing together companies who offer treatments, devices or products that support people to manage their lung conditions.”
“All Living Well Alliance members have made a donation to us, and are working with us to improve the lives of people living with lung conditions.”
“We’re delighted to welcome online pharmacy, Pharmacy2U, as our latest Living Well Alliance partner. Pharmacy2U is committed to working with us to improve the lives of people living with lung conditions and offer an online repeat prescription service”
“Pharmacy2U is the UK’s largest online pharmacy, helping over 150,000 patients in England to manage their NHS repeat prescriptions. Established in 1999, Pharmacy2U worked closely with the NHS to help pioneer the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). They manage the repeat prescription needs of patients registered with GP’s in England and are regulated in exactly the same way as traditional pharmacies.”
“43% of the UK population currently receive repeat prescriptions, costing the NHS £8 billion each year*. With an ageing population, this trend is set to continue. Managing your repeat prescriptions online could help save GPs over 6.5 hours a week and could save the NHS over £300 million a year on prescription costs*.”
