Our character is a newly qualified pharmacist and she is delighted to have been appointed Pharmacy Manager of a rural community pharmacy. She has been in post now for four months. This dilemma takes follows her progress in her first few years of pharmacy management.
The business is doing well and you have lots of ideas on how to increase both the dispensing business, counter sales and also pharmacy services. Over the last two months, she has sent her area manager 5 emails making suggestions on things she would like to try. These include extra staff training on over the counter medicines and also the potential to run an open day for the pharmacy.
The area manager does not reply to any of the emails.
